THE remaining Holsworthy and District Skittle League cup competitions were held recently at Pyworthy Village Hall.

On Friday, February 28, Kilkhampton won the John Hockin Front Pin Cup, defeating Halwill 260-206 in the final.

The following Friday saw Yeolmbridge’s Robert Mill beat Launcells’ Nathan Pollard 80-68 to take the Individual Cup crown.

In the league, Milton Damerel A have a healthy 12-point lead at the top of Division One from second-placed Week St Mary D and Yeolmbridge A, while Highampton B and St Giles A are two adrift on 50.

The bottom four – Halwill A, North Petherwin A, North Tamerton A and North Petherwin D – are separated by just two points.

In the aggregate competition, Milton Damerel are on 100, three ahead of Week St Mary C/D, while North Tamerton (47) are eight behind Week St Mary A/B.

Sutcombe A are also in pole position in Division Two, sitting seven points clear of Pyworthy B.

Morwenstow A and Northlew A are locked in a battle for the wooden spoon, while Sutcombe lead the aggregate race by 10 points from Pyworthy.
