SANTA returns to Marhamchurch this year, once again including Marhamchurch on his current world tour, even though he got extremely wet there last year.
Now fully recovered, he will be dropping in on Saturday, November 26.
With the continuing mild weather he has opted again for a pony and trap on his mini-tour of the village, ringing his bell around the village estates calling folks to the village school car boot sale, beginning at noon, the church activities, the classic car display on the square, before reaching the Bullers Arms pub for hot soup and mulled wine.
Thus fortified, he then continues to the Methodist Schoolroom at 2pm to meet the toddlers and sample the delights on the chapel stalls before taking up residence in his grotto in the village hall. Artwork from the Brownies and Pre-School are on display in the hall, with tombola, balloon modelling, origami fun, toys, craft, cake, cheese, ‘shabby chic’, white elephant and hardware stalls to delight all before Father Christmas waves goodbye at 4pm.
