TIDYING up their village once again, a group of seventeen volunteers from the Holsworthy hamlets dodged the hailstorms on Saturday, April 9, to pick up litter.

This clean up operation follows one held the previous Saturday (April 2) by the volunteers in Chilsworthy.

As part of the Chilsworthy Village Clean Up, organised by Holsworthy hamlets parish council, on Saturday, April 2, fifteen locals picked up their litter picking tools and collected rubbish to tidy up their village.

The second round of village clean ups was also organised by the Holsworthy Hamlets parish council.

The volunteers cleaned up the streets and picked up litter from Staddon Road, Winterland Land and Chasty.

Once the volunteers have finished their hard work they were treated to hot bacon and sausage rolls.

Thanks were extended to Lyn Fursdon and David Campbell for cooking the food for the hard working volunteers.
