MY wife and I visited both Mile End and Coleford Cemeteries to place flowers on our parents' graves.

First we went to Mile End where my wife's parents are buried and found the cemetery in its usual very neat and tidy condition.

We went to Coleford and were very disappointed at the state the cemetery has been allowed to lapse into.

Indeed in the bottom half of the cemetery, by the school, the grass looks to have been allowed to just grow wild – in other parts it is half strimmed and half not.

I know no one is employed full-time at Coleford but surely the Town Council can find someone who can make a better job of it than the one they are currently paying for.

– Disappointed, Coleford.
