A LEGO event held in Bude has raised more than £1,000 to a local children’s charity.
Last month, Lego lovers descended on Bude for the town’s very first ‘bricktacular’ event.
Hosted by PlymLUG, the event offered the chance for attendees to see some incredible creations, get hands on and mix with fellow Lego enthusiasts, all while raising money for a good cause.
The bricktacular raised money for Corey’s Farm, a local charity which provides therapeutic programmes to young people with both diagnosed and undiagnosed additional needs and syndromes.
Following the event, organisers have donated 100 per cent of profits to the group.
A spokesperson explained: “We were delighted to donate to Holly, Ed and of Corey of Corey’s Farm, Cornwall the sum of £1,071.06 from 100 per cent of our profits.
“We would like to reach out our upmost gratitude and congratulate all who visited us at Bude Bricktacular.”
Having hosted several other events, this is the largest sum that they have donated so far.
“This has been by far our largest donation and it couldn’t have been achieved without your support Bude and visitors!
“Thank you to all our visitors, venue, sponsors, displayers, traders and volunteers and everyone who helped us to achieve this goal.”
