West Wales Ladies Bowling Association currently top their section of the national championship, the Savegar Trophy. An impressive 40-shot win away in Tredegar against Penyglyn saw the WWLBA knock their opponnts off the group leaders position. The WWLBA play their final section match against Glamorgan at Saundersfoot on Wednesday, July 22. Top rink on Sunday was Gwenda Rees (Saundersfoot), Julia King Thomas (Tenby) and Gemma Amos and president Ceris Hewlings (also both of Saundersfoot) who returned a 31-13 winning card, while afterwards, president Ceris had the pleasant duty of presenting Gill Cobb, of Pendine, with her county badge.
