A FRUSTRATED Bude team returned from Somerset feeling they should have taken more from it.

Their old bad habits came back to haunt them on Saturday, as they conceded two late tries against Wellington to lose a game, which, for much of the time they had appeared the better side, but were unable to put points on the board when they opportunity arose.

This is now straight losses on the trot for the Seasiders and with their place firmly established in the relegation basement; they need to find a win from somewhere to give their confidence a lift if they are to avoid the drop at the end of the season.

Things were not helped against the resilient Wellington side when they lost influential scrum half Steve Yates in the first half with a hamstring injury, which resulted in wholesale positional changes and then tighthead prop Jake Keat at half time with an eye injury, but it was the 60 minute tail off which ultimately did for the visitors and allowed the hosts to claim a try scoring bonus point shortly before the end, which they barely deserved.
