BUDE fell to their heaviest ever defeat on Saturday as they were thrashed 109-7 by league leaders Plymstock Albion Oaks in Counties One Western West.
The Seasiders headed to Horsham Fields missing several players, particularly in the pack, and found themselves 48-0 down at the break.
Although flanker Finley Fry pulled one back midway through the second half, which was converted by Olly Denford, Plymstock ran in another nine tries for 17 in total, 12 of which were converted by player/coach Lewis Paterson.
While the scoreline is embarrassing for Bude, the three sides below them - Bideford, Wiveliscombe and Falmouth all lost.
Bude have a crucial clash this Saturday when they welcome Falmouth to Bencoolen Meadow (2.30pm) in a game neither side can afford to lose.
