IN WHAT was a great afternoon of rugby, Launceston played the best they had for weeks, dominating their Somerset visitors for the most part.

Interim head coach, Neil Bayliss welcomed the result.

He said: "It was a good win. The boys stuck to the game plan that we've been working on in training and we went out with fire in our belly.

"The penalty count was better, our scrum was very good and the figures showed we were a lot better today. We're over the moon.

"Personally for me, to get that first win means a lot. The support was fantastic today. We could hear everyone getting behind the bits and that helps a lot."
