OVER 75 people attended the first ever Sport and Dance Awards evening held at Callington College recently.
The evening was about celebrating and recognising the achievements of the student athletes who had been part of the high level performance programme that the college offers to talented individuals in football, basketball and dance.
The evening began with students Bradley Agar and Alex Jeffery welcoming parents, guests and fellow athletes before introducing the first guest speaker of the evening, ex-professional footballer and current Plymouth Argyle FC Community Coach, Jason Chapman.
Jason spoke about the dedication and commitment required to make the grade within professional sport, but at the same time recognising that working hard at ensuring achievement and progress is made within their education.
