ST PIRAN LEAGUE ROUND-UP
DIVISION THREE EAST
BUDE Town Reserves have been crowned league champions for the second successive season after another busy week.
On Tuesday night they were surprisingly held 1-1 by their Gunnislake Reserves counterparts but after Bodmin Dragon conceded their trip to North Cornwall which was due tonight, it meant a victory at Looe Reserves would secure the title.
They did that thanks to Harrison Swatton’s brace and Alfie Rowland.
Lanreath can finish within a point if they win their remaining five games.
In total their were 11 games last week.
Week St Mary defeated both North Petherwin Reserves and Gunnislake, the first of which saw a 3-1 win courtesy of Corey Gilbert’s hat-trick, while St Dominick Reserves followed up their 4-2 success over Bodmin Dragon by losing 6-3 at home to second-placed Gerrans and St Mawes.
DIVISION FOUR EAST
DELABOLE’S hopes of finishing as runners-up are all but over despite winning 4-2 at North Hill in their final game.
Bradley Travers (3) and Alex Gray were on target, but Biscovey’s 5-0 success over Indian Queens ensures the Par-based club, who have a game remaining and a much better goal difference, are set to go up.
Champions Tregony won 6-1 at St Teath Reserves.
