LAUNCESTON Rugby Club players Fraser Honey and Jack Osborne starred for Cornwall under 20s in their County Championship group decider with Hampshire at Overton last Sunday.

However, it was to no avail as the Duchy — despite a stirring late comeback — were knocked out of the competition.

The home side bossed the game from the outset and led 20-0 15 minutes into the second-half thanks to tries from James Wise, Alex Musa and Cameron?Smith.

However, Osborne, who’d just come on as a sub, touched down with fly-half Honey adding the extras to give the ‘Black and Golds’ hope.

Wise touched down again to make it 25-7 before Cameron?Sayer and Toby Robinson went over to set up a grandstand finish. However, the home side held on to advance through to the quarter-finals.
