THE Cornish All Blacks have made five changes from last week’s 76-24 humbling at home to Exmouth for tomorrow’s South West Premier clash at Ivybridge (2.30pm).
The North Cornwall side have found the step up following promotion a difficult one so far, having to face two of the more talented sides in the league, although their defensive issues remain a concern having shipped 130 points in just two games.
In a bid to find the winning formula, joint head coaches Ian Goldsmith and Ryan Westren have tinkered once more, including handing a debut to strapping ex-Thornbury winger Louis Ogilvie.
With full-back Eddie McGinley unable to recover from his early injury sustained on Saturday, Ogilvie’s inclusion means Dan Pearce switches from the right-wing to cover McGinley with Martin Kneebone switching across from the left-wing to fill the number 14 shirt.
Fly-half Glenn Coles has been dropped to the bench which means Crawford comes in at inside-centre with Westren joining Dom Mulberry as the half-backs.
There’s also plenty of change in the front five.
Brandon Rowley, this year playing as a hooker, is promoted from the seconds, as is Greg Thomas.
They replace Levent Bulut and Rory Cinnamond who will join Coles in hoping to make an impact later in the game.
The other change sees Tom Bottoms make his first start for the club in the absence of Chris Macdonald, who has failed to recover from a knee injury sustained last Saturday.
Ivybridge finished fifth last term but have only played once so far, a 17-17 draw at Exmouth, highlighting the difficult task Launceston face at Cross-in-Hand. (2.30pm).
