CORNISH All Blacks joint head coaches Ian Goldsmith and Ryan Westren have named an unchanged team for tomorrow’s South West Premier clash at high-flying Weston-super-Mare.
The All Blacks have won their last two matches to move up to fourth bottom, following a slow start which saw three heavy defeats and an agonising 43-42 reversal against Maidenhead.
However, a superb 28-16 victory at Newbury Blues backed up by the 22-17 derby success over Okehampton last Saturday, means they head to Somerset full of confidence.
The forwards remain the same as it has for the last fortnight, while Tom Sandercock, Dan Pearce and Alfie Lang retain their places in the backs despite Glenn Coles and Shaun Crawford being available again once more.
Winger Louis Ogilvie, scorer of three tries in as many games this term, is again absent through injury.
Coles replaces Ben Hawke on the bench in the only change to the match-day 18.
Weston will provide a formidable challenge for the Cornishmen. They have won five out of their seven outings this term to sit second, and are unbeaten in North Somerset with victories over Brixham, Drybrook and Exmouth.
Last weekend they recorded a 34-25 victory at Ivybridge and in their last home encounter thrashed Exmouth 63-7.
But if Launceston play like they have in the last couple of weeks — combining threatening attacking play with a much stingier defence — then the trip back to the Duchy could be made with a hat-trick of wins to their name.
Launceston —
Lang, Pearce, Sandercock, Westren, Kneebone, Edwards, Mulberry; Bentham, Bulut, Thomas, Goldsmith, Clarke, Lightfoot, L Duke (captain), Rowley.
Replacements: Cinnamond, Carpenter, Coles.
