FOURTEEN-year-old Rowan Power of Halwill Junction has become the latest member of this very popular martial arts club to join the ranks of Dan grades (Poom).
Rowan has been training regularly for the past seven years at his Halwill club, alongside his mum Hannah (2nd degree black belt) and younger brother Josh.
Rowan had a three hour grading, which included assisting the other students with their grading, performing eight patterns, sparring and self-defence, and writing a 500 word history of Taekwondo.
Rowan has also got a track record at National Championships, winning several gold and silver medals over the past few years.
