JUST one Post area club in South West Peninsula League Premier West will take to the field this afternoon due to the effects of Storm Ciaran, as Bude Town make the long trip down to Wendron United (3pm).
The Seasiders face a difficult task at a side although well behind leaders Liskeard Athletic, have plenty of games in-hand.
However there is no Saturday afternoon outings for Callington Town, Camelford, Holsworthy and Launceston.
Callington’s clash with Dobwalls, Camelford’s visit from Mullion and Launceston’s trip to Truro City Reserves were all postponed yesterday due to the SWPL’s severe weather protocol.
Hopes were high last night that the clash between Holsworthy and St Austell at Upcott Field would beat the elements, but heavy rain overnight left the pitch unplayable, and it was added to the list.
The other match in the division set to go ahead this afternoon is at Penlee Park as Penzance welcome Bodmin Town (3pm).
See next week’s Post for a report on Bude’s trip to Underlane.
