Carew pulled off a remarkable victory over neighbours Cresselly winning by three runs which must surely rank as one of the closest margins of victory ever among these giants of the local game.

The hosts batted first and scored 210-8 as Ian Sefton struck a stylish 57 with Brian Hall chipping in with 28 and Shaun Whitfield unbeaten on 27. For Cresselly, Mike Shaw's fine run of form continues with ball in hand as he snared 3-39.

He was also in the runs during the visitors' reply as he scored 42 alongside Brad Jenkins' explosive 61 and Dam Chandlers' classy 33 but Tom Davies took 4-38 and James Hinchcliffe 3-24 as Cresselly fell agonisingly short.

Lawrenny picked up their second win of the season after smashing St Ishmaels at home. At one stage the visitors were reduced to 26-6 as Rob Williams took 3-24 and Jamie Lewis 3-47 and Alistair Edwards 4-10.

Tish were eventually all out for 83 but Lawrenny faced few problems in reaching the target as Andrew Cole struck 28 and Hugh Griffiths 22.

A magnificent innings of 72 not out by Paul Davies helped Whitland to a comfortable victory away at Llanrhian. The Borderers batted first at Llandygie Fawr and reached 202-7 in their allotted overs with Davies leading the way followed by Geraint Jones who scored 40.

In reply, the Cows were never in the hunt as Wayne Howells continued his good run of form by taking 4-7 while Dan Jones took 3-29.

The day wasn't quite as rosy for Whitland seconds as they were smashed at home against Kilgetty by 157 runs.

Batting first the Visitors amassed 249-4 with Kurtis Marsh hitting his first century for the club while star batsman Ross Hardy found some form in smashing 86. Marsh finished with 111 to his name as the Kingsmoor outfit dominated the day.

Hardy and Marsh ensured it was a day for their double act as the former took 6-42 while young leg spinner Marsh took 4-12.

It seems big runs were the order of the day in the division as Narberth's Kyle Quartermaine struck five 6's and 25 fours in his brutal 171 not out against Cresselly seconds.

His assault on the home team's bowlers helped his team reach 267-3 with Jordan Howell contributing 37 and Ben Hughes 25.

In reply, Cresselly made a good fist of getting the runs but fell short after being bowled out for 183 as Hughes took 3-40, Kyle Quartermaine 2-25 and Ben Quartermaine 2-25, the only performances of note coming from Richard Harries and Johnnie Palmer who scored 34 and 40 respectively.

Saundersfoot's fine start to the season continued as they beat Camrose and Spittal by seven wickets after bowling the visitors out for 193 and passing it for the loss of just three wickets.

Pembroke travelled to Burton and lost by 73 runs as the home side scored 195-9 despite Lewys Wilkes taking 4-49 and Jack Harries 2-41.

In reply, Andrew Hay hit 32 but the visitors were all out for 122.

Lamphey's hopes of winning two on the bounce ne were dashed after losing at home to Herbrandston who batted first and scored 161-7. Grant Cole took 4-31 for the Stags and Andrew Skeels 3-33 but despite David Blackwell's 38 and Cole's 35 no-one else could stay in and they lost by 13 runs.

Hundleton were skittled out for just 82 at home against Crymych who passed the total for the loss of one wicket while Lawrenny seconds inflicted defeat on Pembroke Dock after winning by seven wickets.

Dan Eddison was the star of the show for Lawrenny scoring 77 not out in their reply after taking 2-38 earlier as the Dock were restricted to 176-7. Steve Campbell also took 3-41. For the home team, Nick Daley scored 61 and Scott Griffiths 32.

Huw Cox made a welcome return for Stackpole in their match against Neyland seconds and he scored 76 in his team's reply to the hosts 223-4 while Josh Davies hit 51 as the Lillies reached 197-9 in reply.

In division four, Narberth seconds beat Llechryd seconds by eight wickets after bowling the visitors out for 102 and passing it for the loss of two wickets.

Mike Williams and Sean Thomas did the damage with the ball taking 3-10 and 2-30 while Mike Johns hit 43 not out while Emyr Jenkins struck an unbeaten 48.

Pembroke seconds beat Burton seconds by five wickets as they overhauled the away team's 143- all out with ease. Nigel Phillips took 4-24 for the hosts and Ryan Wilkins 3-35 with Philips hitting 34 not out and Billy Wood 32 in the reply.

Johnnie Harries scored 91 not out for Carew thirds and Aled Davies an unbeaten 63 although their efforts could only help Carew draw against Hook seconds. Carew batted first and reached 193-2 while Hook finished on 144-8.

Saundersfoot seconds meanwhile drew at Johnston reserves as the Seasiders scored 146-7 while Johnston ended up on 117-8.

The derby clash in division five between Kilgetty seconds and Whitland thirds ended in a draw as the home team scored 193-9 while Whitland were left high and dry on 141-7.

Stackpole seconds beat Cresselly thirds by 15 runs as Stackpole posted 160-6 thanks to John Hughes' 40 and Yori Roberts' 32.

In reply, Sion Jenkins struck a defiant 66 and Chris Izzard 39 but Roberts took 3-18 for the Lillies alongside Theo Hughes' 3-23 to seal the win.

It was a bad day for Pembroke Dock seconds meanwhile as they went down by 83 runs at St Ishmaels who batted first and scored 220-3.

In reply the Dock were all out for 137 despite Rob Scourfield's 37.

Meanwhile in division six, Hundleton seconds easily accounted for Crymych seconds as they passed the Mountain men's 59 all out for the loss of no wickets.
