THE Holsworthy and District Skittles League season recently finished, as did a number of their cup competitions.
The remaining cup nights were completed at Pyworthy Village Hall, Friday, March 1 seeing the John Hockin Front Pin Cup which was won by Bradford. Launcells were runners-up.
Both teams will represent the Holsworthy League in the North Devon finals.
The Individual Cup held on Friday, March 8 saw Pyworthy’s Mark Parsons retain his crown, defeating Bradford A’s Andrew Trible.
Milton Damerel were the Division One winners, by the narrowest of margins on countback from Kilkhampton A. They scored just 34 pins more.
It was also a close-run thing in Division Two with North Tamerton edging past Halwill A by two points.
The highest team away score was New Inn B’s 415 at North Tamerton, while Anthony Down (Milton Damerel A) and Trible (Bradford A) produced the best individual efforts on their travels with 99.
