LOCAL football talent Ellie Isaac has been signed by high profile Yeovil Town Ladies FC in the Women's Super League Two ahead of the new season.
Ellie, from Launceston, began her journey in football when she was just six years old. She said: "When I started playing, I just wanted to join in with my brother and his friends – though I must mention my sister too, we're triplets!
"I played for school teams from then and my first club was Southgate Colts when I was around nine.
"I then joined Callington – I loved playing for them and that's where I'd say I improved the most and first realised I could play at a high standard."
Although football has always been Ellie's main love, she also tried her hand, or foot as it may be, at several other sports.
She said: "I always played as much sport as I could – in school I played netball, hockey, rugby, rounders and cricket. Football was always my favourite though!"
Ellie progressed as a footballer at a fast pace but she didn't let sporting excellence hinder her academic studies, passing her A-levels and graduating from Bristol's University of West England with a 2:1 in English and English Language.
