LAWHITTON Badminton Club rounded off their season on Wednesday, March 27, with the fun Easter tournaments.
Following the usual round the net warm-up (the winner being Archer Craig), 11 children played singles and doubles in different age groups.
The winner of the youngest group was Ronnie Shanks, next age group was won by Noah Kinsella. The older children then arrived for doubles with Albi Barnard and Noah defeating the brother/sister partnership of Mary and Ronnie Shanks.
Mary then won the Year 8 battle defeating Owen Worth in the final.
Congratulations also goes to Jack, Harry, Jacob, Sophie, and Barnie who have been committed, enthusiastic and have improved greatly through the season.
The adults/older juniors then held their tournament with 10 members taking part.
Everyone played one doubles with each other. The winner was Finlay Worth, being presented the trophy by Lucy Ridgman with the new Ridgman Trophy.
