GYMNASTIC trio Cerys Lewis, 11, Sophie Hudson, nine, and Amelia Disney, eight, representing Bradworthy Primary Academy, recently came second in the Girl's category in the South West heat in Taunton, and will now compete in the National Milano Gymnastics competition in Stoke on Trent.

The girls, who also belong to the North Devon Display Gymnastic Club, won their place with a trio floor routine, individual routines and vault jumps.

Gymnastic coaches Kerry Boyd, Sarah Lewis and Michelle Phillips, employed by Bradworthy Primary Academy, coach many of the children in the school one day a week.

Headteacher, Richard Stephenson said he was extremely proud of the childrens' dedication and hard work, and hoped they would enjoy the competition on March 8. He will certainly be there to support the girls, along with their proud parents, he added.
