NEW signing Jordan Hogan made it three goals for the week as the Clarets built on their excellent 1-1 draw at title-chasing Saltash by winning 5-2 at newly-promoted Millbrook.
The Clarets were again missing the spine of the team with goalkeeper Josh Colwill, central defender Lee Rundle and top scorer Sam Davey all out injured.
The game started quietly but Launceston took a deserved lead in the 37th minute when Wearing came outside his area to contest a throughball he was never going to win. Striker Jordan Hogan calmly lobbed into the unguarded net for his second goal in three days.
The Clarets doubled their lead just before the break. Full-back George Birkbeck found Hogan with a long pass down the right and the striker turned sharply before beating Wearing.
Launceston made the game safe within two minutes of the restart. A Tallan Mitchell corner was turned into his own net by a Millbrook defender, under pressure from Reece Thomson.
Rather than sitting back, the Clarets went for the jugular. Thomson was inches over with a stunning 25-yard drive before Mitchell made it 4-0 from a Thomson throughball.
It was five in the 70th minute as Jordan Walton thrashed a 20-yard free-kick into the corner.
The Clarets used all three substitutes and allowed Millbrook to snatch a pair of late consolation goals, through substitute Jake Foster and skipper Tom Hall.
But this was an impressive and convincing victory, which set the Clarets up nicely for Tuesday’s game at local rivals Camelford.

AFTER?a promising start, Camelford made it three straight defeats as they conceded five second-half goals at The Mill.
The in-form Adam Sleep put the Camels ahead after 18 minutes and were unlucky not to go further in front, but home goalkeeper Brodie Cole made a number of fine saves.
However, Torpoint changed formation at the break to devastating effect as they blew the Camels away.

BUDE Town endured a frustrating afternoon away at Peninsula League newcomers Bere Alston United on Saturday, where they twice led, but left The Down pointless after conceding with the last kick of the game.
The day started brightly for the Seasiders as they were quick out of the blocks and were well on top when Benj Bryant broke the deadlock after ten minutes with a fine run and finish.
However, Bude took their foot off the gas and in the 38th minute some poor defending allowed Ben Backway to drill home from 12 yards.
The second-half saw both teams create chances and with the game in the balance Paul Banks curled a precise finish over the goalkeeper to put Bude back in front with 20 minutes remaining.
The lead lasted until the 80th minute when again a lapse in concentration allowed United to draw level.
Time and space was allowed to Chris Bray who found the bottom corner with his finish.
A frantic finale saw both sides create plenty of chances to win the game with the away side squandering at least three good opportunities to grab the points.
However, it was the home side who were to have the last word in the 94th minute when a Bude attack broke down with men committed a superb 60 yard ball from right-back was brought down by the Bere Alston striker only to be scythed down by Josh Allen in the box.
The ensuing penalty was dispatched by William Westlake to give Bere Alston their first points of the season.

THE?Magpies’ unbeaten start to the season came to an end on Saturday as Liskeard Athletic left Upcott Field with their perfect record intact.
Adam?King scored the winner as Liam Dart’s men were left to prepare for Tuesday night’s clash with Bere Alston United.
