LAUNCESTON warmed up for their opening SWPL Premier West clash against Wadebridge Town next Saturday by running into an irresistible Mousehole outfit at Pennygillam last night, going down 10-0.
The West Cornwall club are about to embark on their maiden Southern League Division One South and West campaign having won the Western League Premier Division title last term, and showed the two-league difference between the sides throughout.
The visitors led 5-0 at the break before adding five more after the restart to ensure they are ready for their season opener when they welcome Ilfracombe Town in the FA Cup.
Their first ever Southern League game sees them head to Westbury United a week later.
For Launceston, boss Neil Price will be encouraged by a pre-season that should ensure there is no time struggling at the wrong end of the SWPL Premier West table.
