MILLBROOK moved a point further away from trouble despite suffering a late setback against visiting Sticker on Saturday.
The Brook looked set to make it back-to-back victories when they led 2-1, but Connor Cooke’s equaliser meant they are only only four points clear of bottom side Launceston instead of six.
Sticker took an early lead via the in-form Haiden Chapman, but the home side improved and earned a penalty on 32 minutes which slotted in by Jack Smart.
Alfie Cole completed the turnaround 15 minutes from time when he was sent clear and he made no mistake to beat Ethan Elwell.
But the village outfit are much-improved this term and earned a valuable point when a set piece was scrambled in by Connor Cooke.
It was the only game to go ahead in the division as a number of key fixtures at both ends of the table were postponed.
Title-chasing Liskeard Athletic missed the chance to close the gap to six points against Camelford while Dobwalls who are just two adrift of the Blues were set to face free-scoring Wendron United.
The all-important clash between fourth bottom Bodmin Town and basement side Launceston also fell foul of the weather, as did Callington Town’s trip to Truro City Reserves.
This weekend sees Liskeard go to Sticker, while Bodmin face a crunch local derby with Camelford.
A Camels win at Priory Park would see Reg Hambly’s side leapfrog Town into 13th in the 16-team division.
Millbrook, who are now just a point behind Camelford, albeit with just six games remaining compared to the Camels’ nine, welcome Dobwalls in a tasty clash.
Callington resume their quest to catch Wendron in fourth as they welcome Wadebridge Town.
The other fixtures are Penzance versus Bude Town and Wendron United taking on Holsworthy.
Launceston have the day off.
