A?DISASTROUS second-half from the Camels meant they missed the chance to move further clear of the bottom two.
The game was goalless at the break, despite the home side missing a couple of sitters, and they were made to pay for their failure to convert those chances as five minutes into the second-half, home skipper Dan Balsdon could do nothing about the ball hitting him and going into his own net.
Mid-table Helston smelt blood and added a second five minutes later through Hugh Howlett’s header.
The game stayed at 2-0 until later on when Phil Cattran and Kyle Marks rounded off the scoring.
The Camels are at home again on Saturday when they entertain St Austell (3pm).

HARRY Hopcroft’s late strike wasn’t enough as bottom side Bude Town made it back-to-back home defeats against Penzance at Broadclose Park.
The visitors took the lead just before half-time through Mark Vercesi’s header and doubled their lead on 65 minutes well when Paul Robertson finished off a tidy cross.
Hopcroft pulled one back with 15 minutes left with an excellent shot from the edge of the box, but the Seasiders failed to grab an equaliser as Penzance left?North Cornwall with
They now sit nine points off Illogan RBL, who are the club directly above them, ahead of Saturday’s home game against league leaders Ludgvan.

Holsworthy 1
HOLSWORTHY’S?poor run of form continued as they fell to defeat at in-form Mousehole.
The Trungle Parc outfit have enjoyed a remarkable couple of months, advancing to the RGB?Cornwall?Senior Cup final for the first time in their history where they’ll face Saltash United on?Easter Monday (April 2) as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Walter C Parson Funeral Directors League Cup.
However their league form has also picked up and they’re now just three points off second-placed Liskeard Athletic in the race for promotion after this win over a plucky Magpies side, who were indebted to Ryan?Walter for making a number of fine saves.
Mousehole took the lead in somewhat fortuitous circumstances as an attempted clearance hit Jake Andrew and lobbed Walter.
Liam Dart’s men did well to stay in the game and it took until the 72nd minute for the village side to double their lead when Luke Johnson drove the ball into the bottom corner.
However the two-goal advantage was short-lived as Carlo Chandler fired in the rebound on 83 minutes after Dan Wilson had missed a penalty.
But despite some Holsworthy pressure, Mousehole added a third in injury-time when Paulo Sousa struck home a brilliant 20-yard free-kick.
