LAUNCESTON AND DISTRICT DARTS LEAGUE LATEST ROUND-UP

THE final round of fixtures in Open Division One before Christmas took place on Monday, December 18, with plenty of cracking performances.

There was a superb result for Park Warriors as they beat defending champions Village Inn 6-5, while there away wins by the same scoreline for Archers Arms and Pint and Post.

Archers beat Kensey Clowns, while Pint and Post edged out Stumble Inn.

The other two games saw comfortable home wins as Launceston Golf Club thrashed Westgate A 9-2, while Westgate B went one better in a 10-1 success over White Horse.

On a personal level there were several excellent performances.

Maximum 180s came from Rob Jane (Park Warriors), Marc Oldaker (Westgate B), Kelly Wilkinson (Westgate A) and Adrian Wonnacott (Launceston Golf Club).

It’s not often you see five ton-plus checkouts in one evening, but that was the case.

Jane, who also struck an 18-dart leg, plonked in a 130 finish, while the second best was Tim Pringle’s (Pint and Post) 21-dart leg and 118 finish.

Both Keith Moore (Westgate B) and Wonnacott (Launceston Golf Club) put in 114 finishes, with the latter also checking out in 15 and 21 darts.

Wilkinson was also in good form with a 108 finish and 20-dart leg, the same number of darts it took Jamie Holden to check out in.
