Although suffering a narrow league defeat by near neighbours Carew on Saturday, Cresselly enjoyed double cup success last week.
In mid-week they played their second round Harrison Allen Bowl match against Haverfordwest (see report on the right), and having lost to the Town the previous weekend, they were determined to get their own back.
And happily, with some superb bowling, catching and fielding, supported by a particularly brilliant partnership between Simon Cole and Iwan Izzard, they did just that as they won their way through to the third round.
Then, on Sunday, they had to put the misery of Saturday's defeat by Carew behind them as they took on Drefach in the Village Cup.
Although there was plenty of sunshine, there was also a keen, cold breeze sweeping across the ground.
Nevertheless, it was a really entertaining game, in which Cresselly were always ahead and looked likely to win from the moment the first Drefach wicket fell.
Indeed, after the previous day's reversal, they were determined that the same was not going to happen in this match and they now go on to meet either Pontyberem or Bronwydd in the regional final.
