Manorbier United travelled to bottom-of-the-table Milford Athletic on April 5, knowing that only a win would secure promotion and the division four championship.

With a stiff westerly wind blowing and a determined Milford outfit to contend with, the first half was an even contest and a nervy 45 minutes for the yellows and the 50-strong supporters who had made the journey

The secound half started in the same fashion and after a penalty miss, was it going to be Manorbier's day?

However, the Milford 'keeper, who had been solid up to this point, decided to put the ball into his own net, much to the delight of the Manorbier players.

Then a fine exhibition of skill and determination from J.J. Richards made the remainder of the game a pleasure, as he added a further four goals to the tally

And, yes, it was meant to be Mano's day! after just one season in the fourth division

Mano now hope to build on their great season and look forward to getting back into division three. Well done Mikee. B and all the boys in yellow!
