SWPL PREMIER WEST (SATURDAY)

St Day 1 Bude Town 1

DEBUTANT Davidson Moses scored within two minutes of coming on as Bude Town earned a valuable point at newly-promoted St Day on Saturday.

The Seasiders travelled to Vogue Park to face an in-form side who had beaten Holsworthy and Wendron in the past seven days, but it Bude who started the brighter, quickly creating a host of early chances.

Rocco Dyer caused constant problems down the left and shots from Steve Box and Harrison Swatton also tested Harry Salmon.

It was, however, the home side who took the lead in the 23rd minute when Kyle Marks curled a free-kick around the wall and into the bottom corner.

Bude reacted and continued to fashion out chances, Dyer again going close on multiple occasions, while George Harvey was a constant threat up front.

The second half was less eventful, St Day reduced to a few chances from corners and Bude, pushing for an equaliser having several Harvey headers well saved.

The equaliser after 75 minutes when Harvey held off both centre halves and played a perfect through ball which was hammered home by Moses.

Both teams pushed for a winner but Bude keeper Ty Rowe was equal to the home efforts.

At the other end, Dyer went through in the last few minutes, but Salmon was again in the way.

Bude will rue the chances missed in the first half, but will take confidence with a point on the road.
