BUDE RATs saw four members compete in the St Piran’s Revenge event in Perranporth on Sunday, December 10.
It was the fifth race of the 2023/24 Cornish Multi-Terrain Race Series and was well-attended with over 200 competitors.
Stephen Hutchinson, Jeremy Brown, Suzanne Brown, and Paul Skipp all took on the 5.5-mile course which started and finished on the beach and saw runners take on the sand dunes and coastline.
Jeremy was the first Bude runner home in 56 minutes and nine seconds, followed by Stephen who is defending his M70+ title, in 1:05:18. He was second, over seven minutes behind Peter Brocklehurst.
Paul crossed the post in 1:12:04, two minutes and 17 seconds ahead of Suzanne.
The sixth event of the nine-race series is set to be the Boconnoc 5 on May 1.
The recently completed Cornish Grand Prix Series starts again on Sunday, January 21 with the Storm Force 10 Road Race in Camborne, organised by Carn Runners.
