THREE players from Dunheved Bowling Club attended an inter-club triples competition at Honiton Bowling Club on Saturday, March 14.
Hosted by Disability Bowls England, Dunheved sent sent a triple to take part, Fred Bramham, Troy Hair and David Bowyer.
This year Dunheved were the only Cornish triple to take part, the first time in the club’s history.
Clubs also attending were three teams from Plymouth Life Centre, two teams from Taunton Dean IBC, Honiton IBC and Dawlish Bowling Club.
Bowls England organiser Mo Monkton, said this was a very successful event, in challenging times, and all at Honiton should be applauded for the extra work involved, especially during the Coronavirus situation.
Dunheved spokesperson, Peter Prynne, said: “The Dunheved triple enjoyed the day immensely, against very strong opposition, and are looking forward to next year.
“Club coach Angela Wooldridge and I assisted during the games and one thing is for certain, seeing people from a wide range of disability enjoying themselves, was quite heartening.”
