JESSICA Tait, aged 13, was awarded Young Volunteer of the Year from the CATS (Community Action Through Sports) award committee recently. It was given to her because of the amount of volunteering she does, for the last couple of seasons she has been a Jaffa at Launceston Rugby Club, Polson; she helps to coach the Under-9s squad; she is a member of The 1st Stoke Climsland scouts; St John Ambulance and helps out at her old primary school as well as conservation and community projects at Callington College. She even manages to fit in being a player for the Launceston Under-15s ladies rugby team. At the award ceremony she was described as "an inspiration to young people."
