THE SACRIFICES of many in numerous conflicts were remembered on Sunday in services and parades throughout the 'Post' district. Thousands turned out to pay tribute to those who gave life or limb to help preserve our freedom — those who gave their tomorrows for our todays. On Tuesday, the 90th anniversary of the signing of the Armistice at the conclusion of World War One was similarly commemorated with two minutes of silent remembering in shops, schools, and workplaces throughout North Cornwall, Torridge, West Devon and Caradon areas.
