THE Royal British Legion Women’s Section’s (WS) wine and wisdom was held at the Launceston Football Club to raise money for the WS beneficeries.

The ladies of the WS distributed pasties at half time and everyone appeared to have a good night.

The quiz master was Andy Lane from Iddesleigh, who is an auctioneer so very used to speaking loudly for all to hear.

The winners were ‘The Rare Breeds’ from Yeolmbridge. Joint runners up were ‘Harleys Heroes’ from Stourscombe and ‘The Dolphins’, also from Yeolmbridge.

£130 was raised on the night.
