It's time for the monthly look at the events, new book releases and library news for this coming July. This month, with the school holidays fast approaching, there is a lot on for children.
Children's Summer Reading Challenge: The Challenge this year is centred on the Guinness Book of World Records and Pembrokeshire libraries are hoping to have a record amount of children taking part! It's great fun and open to children aged between four and 11-years-old. The Challenge is run in all Pembrokeshire libraries, it is completely free and it's a great way to keep reading over the long summer holiday. Children have to read six books (three visits to the library) to be awarded a certificate and a medal. When enrolled, your child will be given some fun materials, including a sticker pack to get them started on the Challenge. If you or the children aren't members of the library, it's easy to join up - just bring some ID with your address on and you can start borrowing right away.
