Susan Desmond, president, welcomed 18 of its members to the Werrington Ladies Circle ‘Christmas Tea’. 

A beautifully decorated Christmas tree, nativity scene and tables adorned with centre pieces of sprigs from bay leaf trees, candles, baubles and crackers put the finishing touches to a lovely Christmas theme.  Cardboard boxes tied with red and green ribbon contained an array of food which was provided by Judith Scott. 

Pyramid boxes containing chocolates, warm mince pies with clotted cream, Christmas cake, almond slices, cheese and crackers, mulled apple juice and tea and coffee made for a delicious Christmas tea.

For some light entertainment the members took part in a Quiz on history.  The afternoon concluded with a raffle and Susan presenting all the members with a handmade gift.
