Judging for the annual Wales in Bloom competition has taken place in Tenby and Saundersfoot.
Tenby is looking to regain the coveted crown this year and make it a record-breaking 30th win for the town.
Wales in Bloom is the regional element of the National Britain in Bloom Competition supported by the Royal Horticultural Society.
"It's always a pleasure to visit Tenby which is one of the strongest supporters of our campaign, said Wales in Bloom judge, John Woods.
"Businesses and the whole town benefit from all the efforts put in by the resort's 'In Bloom' group and the wonderful displays on show," he added.
Meanwhile, Tenby in Bloom chairman, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, has thanked all those that took part in this year's floral competition.
"Congratulations to all those that put the effort in and supported Tenby in Bloom again this year, myself and the judges saw some wonderful entries," she said.
"There is a competitive element in that there are trophies awarded, but everyone has a certificate featuring their own floral displays and a silver, silver gilt or gold award to keep, so it's just as much about showing pride in the town as anything really and making Tenby as bright as possible.
"Our Tenby in Bloom competitors, too, are a real credit to the town. They work tirelessly year after year to provide us with spectacular results, and then allow our judges into their cherished gardens.
"We really admire them and urge them to keep on making Tenby a brighter and tidier place, and we'd like to thank everyone who has contributed again," added Clr. Mrs. Lane.
Wales in Bloom judge Mr. Jim Goodwin visited Saundersfoot on Monday and chairman of Saundersfoot in Bloom, Keith Williams, vice-chairman Mrs. Joan Allen and secretary Mrs. Rosemary Hayes showed him around the village and the outskirts.
"He seemed to be quite impressed, but as you know, the judges do not give any indication as to how we got on," said Mrs. Hayes.
"He thought our sensory gardens were lovely and we took him to see some senior citizens gardens, a caravan park and some of last year's winners who have maintained their good record this year."
