SAM Elphinstone has joined Waitrose & Partners Holsworthy as the new branch manager and has hit the ground running.
He was delighted to be able to present a number of gift cards to the winners of a local support group’s competition.
Sam came from the Truro branch to join the Holsworthy team back in December and has heard all about the long standing relationship Waitrose has with Holsworthy Mutual Aid. The volunteers have made a big impact during the pandemic, and the ‘Bake Off’ events have been very successful, so when Marilyn Chidley, Holsworthy Community Activator, asked him to choose five winners from the social media posts he was happy to oblige.
Sam said: “This latest bake off challenge has certainly shown a lot of creativity in our community and it was difficult choice, but I’m delighted to say Hannah Northcott, Tilly and Bonnie Pugsley, Lylah Rose Davis, Neeve and Kai Birch and Freya Keeley’s Gingerbread Houses all caught my eye and it’s a pleasure to present each family with a £10 Gift Card.”
Sam would like to remind customers that they can still nominate local charities and groups to be considered for the Give a Little Love Funding, and letters can be sent to Marilyn at the store and she will get in touch.
With Valentine’s Day approaching Sam would like to invite Post readers to let him know what it is they love about Waitrose Holsworthy and by doing so, they will be entered into a ballot to win a bottle of Waitrose champagne and a box of Lindt Chocolates. Closing date February 16.
