THE SECOND round of the Staddon Road Village Clean Up organised by Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council was held on April 27.
On the day 14 volunteers gave up their time on an extremely windy Saturday morning to come out and clean up in the areas of Staddon Road, Winterland Lane and Chasty. Despite the near gale force winds, the volunteers collected up litter and rubbish from the pavements and verges as well as cleaning the road signs and sign posts.
The volunteers were treated to bacon rolls and hot dogs once they’d finished working and many thanks were expressed to Cllr David Campbell for cooking the food.
Holsworthy Hamlets Parish Council expressed its thanks to all the volunteers who came both to this event and to the previous one in Chilsworthy.
