DELABOLE held its annual carnival week in glorious sunshine throughout — the best week of weather ever experienced for the event, say organisers.
A varied programme of events was held from Saturday, July 13 to Saturday, July 20, including live music and comedy, football, bingo, a Sunday service and culminating with the carnival procession on Saturday.
Carnival chairman Andrew Stacey said: "The week has been very successful, and all has run smoothly. Our new supply of wet weather matting, the purchase of which was funded by Delabole Community Shop, is still wrapped and in storage, but I am sure it will be put to good use at some point in the future."
