A SHORT ceremony took place at the war memorial at Upton Cross on November 11, which was led by parish councillor Christine Hordley who also laid a wreath.

Pupils from Year 6 of Upton Cross Primary School were present as well as a small number of parishioners.

The two minutes’ silence was observed before pupil Reece Bidiss, on behalf of the school (pictured), and county councillor, Stephanie McWilliam, laid other wreaths.
