A LARGE crowd of walkers, cyclists and horse riders attended the opening of a new underpass on the multi-use trail which is Phase 1 of the Atlantic Ruby Trail between Holsworthy and Bude.
They met at Bude Bike Hire on October 31 and made their way to the underpass under the A39.
After a brief ceremony there was an opportunity for refreshments at the Weir Coffee House. They returned by various routes to Bude where more refreshments were available at the River Life Café.
John Allen, the chairman of the Ruby Country Partnership, said: "The event showed both the excellent facilities for walkers, riders and cyclists as well as the sheer beauty of the area.
