TWO sites with Cold War nuclear bunkers have gone on the market.
The farms departments of Kivells Launceston and Holsworthy received instructions from two separate vendors for land at Otterham Station and Holsworthy.
Tom Rattray, of Launceston Farms Department, said: "With my grandfather having been in the Royal Observer Corps, when I was asked to deal with the sale of land at Titchbarrow, Otterham Station, I jumped at the opportunity when I heard there was a nuclear bunker on site."
The purpose of the nuclear bunker at Titchbarrow — and on the land known as Horse Park Meadow, being sold by Jackie Chegwyn, of the Kivells Farms Department, Holsworthy, was for the Royal Observer Corps to monitor nuclear fallout in the event of nuclear war.
