DESPITE a reduced number of entries in the cattle ring there was still plenty of top quality animals on show.
Taking home breed champion status was South Devon bull Treguddick Ephraim II, shown by the Thomas family of South Petherwin.
A regular name at the local shows, Mark Thomas, the former High Sheriff of Cornwall, was delighted to have four generations of his family present on show day.
He said: “This is a really rewarding show to be a part of, and it is wonderful to be able to bring the family along.
“We started showing in about 1985 I think.
“History is repeating itself as my five year old grandson Jack has now taken up showing in the young handlers.
“It is so important to get the younger generation involved and he has shown a keen interest, which is even better!”
He added: “What a wonderful show.”
