LAUNCESTON residents came together last week to raise funds for an upcoming community event.  

Members of Launceston’s carnival committee and residents of the town gathered for an evening of fun and fundraising ahead of this year’s Launceston Carnival.  

The evening had visitors’ eyes down and dotters at the ready as Launceston Football club hosted a fundraising bingo evening. 

The event proved a great success with the bingo group raising £1,500 for the town’s carnival. 

Dave Gordon, chair of Launceston’s carnival committee, has thanked the group for their generous support and thanked the Carnival Queen, Jessica Heywood, for all her hard work on the evening.
