CAMELFORD Carnival 2008 is going to go down in the history books for a number of reasons. See if you can spot how many changes were made this year, you may need a separate piece of paper and a pen as there are a few!
The crowds of people had the centre of town packet to capacity, and thankful being very generous and digging deep into their pockets, even in the current 'credit crunch' its great that people still want to support local charities.
Carnival secretary Marney Baker said: "The standard and quantity of the floats never cease to amaze me, even with everyone's busy lives, people still manage to find the time to build each and every float, be that a single walking entry that creates a single costume to the floats that have a huge amount of money spent on them, with a large cast onboard and probably an even bigger crew in the background.
"It's this kind of community spirit that made Camelford Carnival such a great success, of course having been lucky with the weather helped as well."
The Moines collected this year are being shared between the Guide Tent Appeal and Camelford Youth Band, we're still waiting for some to come in but so far we're already up on last year.
The carnival committee have expressed their thanks to every single person that helped to support this year's carnival, and take this opportunity to appeal for more committee members to try and make next year's carnival even bigger and better!
