NINE music and theatre events in Bude, over the winter, enabled North Coast Arts to generate almost £2,500 to support Bude Sea Pool.
The money was raised from ticket sales and raffles at the events and presented by Joy and Richard Wolfenden-Brown of North Coast Arts to Elaine Viner of the Friends of Bude Sea Pool.
Richard said: “We are grateful to all who supported the North Coast Arts events and delighted that the funds raised will continue to safeguard our iconic sea pool and secure it for future generations.”
Further funds for FoBSP will be raised as North Coast Arts starts a summer season of open-air theatre and music at Ebbingford Manor, The Falcon Hotel, The Castle Lawn and Norton Barton Artisan Food Village. Fifteen world class performances range from Shakespeare, Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen and new plays with the cream of the nation's open-air theatre companies (Illyria, Miracle, The Pantaloons, The Three Inch Fools, Four Forty Theatre, Hotbuckle, Plandits) to live music tributes to Simon & Garfunkel and David Bowie, plus a Sea Shanty Shindig.
Tickets can be purchased at a number of local venues.
