THE annual patronal festival, held in Morwenstow, saw crowds of hundreds watching the festivities and enjoying home cooked goodies, last month, (June 16 — 24).

The day was packed full of activities, including an endurance ride, a poets, pasties and pints evening, wine and wisdom and an art exhibition.

Linda Hurles, organiser of the event, said: "It went very well, the sun shone for the first time in four years.

"The past three years we had to cancel because of the weather so this year went really well."
