For this production all the Singers were invited to choose their favourite song and their reason for choosing it.
The team then chose the best ones to work with and those that were chosen were asked to give a testimony as to why they had chosen their song.
The narrated testimonies focussed on the experiences, life changing moments and thoughts that had moved each person to choose their song.
Both venues saw large attendances with audiences showing their appreciation with constant applause. The conductor was Lorna Cox, a duet was sung by John Quance and Daisy Dinnis and the soloist was John Cleave.
Musicians providing accompaniment were: Sarah Riviere, piano; Coral Locke, guitar; Matt Bosustow, bass and Cliff Pryor, drums. Cream tea refreshments were served by the Bude men at Bude and as it was a Torridge Methodist Circuit event at Bideford the buffet refreshments there were provided by all the churches in their circuit.
The following amounts were donated by the appreciative audiences: £800 at Bude for Parkinson’s UK; £391.40 at Bideford for ‘All We Can’, raising a grand total of £1,191.40.
Rehearsals for the Christmas production commence on August 29 at 7.30pm at Bude Methodist Church and if you would like to participate in any way contact either Lorna Cox, Sarah Riviere or Coral Locke.
