RESIDENTS of High Street, Camelford, made a heartfelt plea to Camelford Town Council to oppose the plans for a Tesco store in the town. The company wants to build a food store on the former primary school site on Highfield Road.

They recently held a consultation event in the town where residents could look at the plans and have their say.

Tesco said that feedback from the event showed there was 'a high demand' for the store, but it seems that not all residents are happy about the proposals.
